President
The vision of helping children in need has accompanied me all my life - shaped by my great-grandmother, Anne Marie Jaccand-Jordan (1892 - 1977), who founded two children's homes in Valais during the Second World War and ran them with great dedication for the following three decades. I let this energy flow into the development of our homes, convinced that our commitment gives the children safety, security and a future worth living.

Manager
As the person responsible on site, I ensure the smooth operation of Srilankapoint. It is difficult to get enough food in the current situation. Thus, purchasing and distribution are one of the central challenges. Working in a team and looking back on the many beautiful moments is motivation every day to do this job without financial compensation.

Finances
It is immensely fulfilling to help underprivileged children who have little perspective in life. Everything we have achieved so far convinces me that we are doing the right thing. With limited means we achieve a lasting effect. The pride in the face of our children when they have learned something, and their happy laughter is ample reward for our commitment.

IT and Accounting
My sister and I are the next generation who will continue the work of our father Thilak at Srilankapoint. I will also be responsible for the administrative activities such as invoicing, liquidity planning and orders. Together with Ernst we are planning to renew the IT infrastructure of the homes. In Switzerland, I will load the required 50 notebooks with our programs in order to then continue the IT education in the homes.

Actuary
Accompanying children on their way through life has been dear to my heart for many years. I got to know the children and young people in the two orphanages during a stay in Sri Lanka in November 2017. I was deeply impressed by the commitment of those responsible, both here in Switzerland and in Sri Lanka. With financial help and support on site, the girls and boys are given a good opportunity to seize their chances for the future. I am very happy to support this cause.

Health and hygiene
As a trained nurse, I contribute to the basic medical care of the homes and am the contact person for questions of hygiene as well as in cases of illness. Preventive health care and a balanced diet for the children are very important to me. The meaningful task and the uncomplicated cooperation give back a lot. In this activity Catherine is my contact person.
